We have a number of talented professional artists and sculptors who are available to offer courses and tutoring. We also offer residencies for artists, photographers and writers.

The superb light has encouraged many famous painters such as Van Gogh, Cezanne , Matisse and Gauguin to come to Provence as resident artists.

In addition we can provide guided art tours or advise on a self guided art tour in Provence where there are many wonderful art galleries, exhibitions and related sites nearby.

Art Excursions

Excursions to visit some of them can be recommended, and arranged if required, including:

Felix Ziem at Martigues,

Auguste Chabaud at Graveson,

Van Gough route to include his gallery at Arles and even a visit to the sanatorium that he stayed in at St Remy- now still a nursing home.

Cezanne’s art studio in Aix-en-Provence and associated gallery with some of his works on permanent exhibition along with many other famous artists.

Yves Brayer at Les Baux-de-Provence.

All of the above are within 10 minutes to an hour of La Pinede as are the many galleries of Marseille- the second city of France, and Montpellier- our favourite city in France with the now fully restored Favre art museum and gallery. Lodeve also has an excellent permanent exhibition.

In addition there are many wonderful art galleries, exhibitions and related sites nearby. Excursions to visit some of them can be recommended, and arranged if required.
